Low emissivity glass

Originally developed for application in buildings of cold climate countries, who need to keep the inside of the heated building, the low-e glazing (low emissivity glass) are low emissivity glazing that prevent heat transfer between two environments. The efficiency comes from a thin metal oxide layer applied on the glass surfaces. This filter film solar rays - Temperatures intensifying the transfer of control between environments - without preventing light transmission.

The deposition of the oxide layer can be performed using two procedures. The best known is the pyrolytic (hard-coat): the oxide layer is sprayed continuously onto the glass during the float manufacturing process. Vacuum technology can also be used for the manufacture of low emissivity. In this case, the oxide deposition is carried out in hermetically closed chamber by an ion bombardment. Adapted to the tropical climate, it won a solar control chamber that also has low-e properties when exposed to the external environment (ie can not be in contact with the PVB), which, besides allowing light to pass through, has reflective properties .

Transparent, with a slight greenish or bluish tone, low-e solar control is an important ally of the aesthetic of the facades, it assists in the solar control without creating the undesirable mirror effect. It provides energy performance, reflecting mainly out radiation in the infrared spectrum near and far. Its outer reflectivity is between 8% and 10% and a light transmission between 70% and 80%. To intensify its energy properties and to check safety features, the low-and can be curved, insulated, tempered and laminated.

Ideal for glass front walls, windows, and also to the white line - can be applied in refrigerators, while also preventing the embacie glass.

Glass with solar control

The glass for solar control "filter" solar energy, thereby reducing the amount of heat provided by the sun that enters a building through a glass. These glasses are especially important for those who do not intend to apply blinds or exterior shutters. There are very reflective glasses and convey little light and other little reflectors and giving lots of light.

Tempered glass

The manufacturing of the temperate, considered safety glass, it is carried out by tempering oven in horizontal or vertical. The float glass (common) is subjected to a process of heating and rapid cooling which makes it far more resistant to breakage by impact, presenting thus a strength five times higher than the ordinary glass. Once hardened, the glass can not be benefited, cut, bored, etc. Therefore, any process of transformation must be done before the tempering process.

The tempered glass is subjected to a thermal process in which they are heated to a temperature of 700 ° C to subsequently suffer sudden cooling on its surface.

Its main feature is the resistance. Resists thermal shock, bending, buckling, twisting and weight. Safety glass is considered, because in case of breakdown, breaks into small pieces rather sharp which lowers the risk of injury.

It is widely used in construction, the automotive industry and decoration. It is also the only glass that can be applied like a door without the use of frames.

Vidros Laminados

The laminate is a safety glass composed by two or more glass sheets joined strongly under heat and pressure by one or more layers of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) or resin.
The laminated glass can be manufactured with a multitude of colors. These vary according to the combination of the colors of the windows, the number of PVB film and the colors of these films or resins.

In case of breakage of the laminated board, the pieces remain stuck. By applying the laminate, possible injuries are avoided. As the need for protection - safety of people and / or assets - the laminate can withstand different levels of impact and vandalism attacks.
In addition to safety glass lamination gives the thermoacoustic function. Acoustic comfort is a function of the thickness of the interlayer (PVB or resin). When produced with solar control glass plates, laminated glass becomes effective for maintaining thermal comfort. The family of solar control glasses for employees in architectural design consists of reflective and low-e (low emissivity).

The simple laminate is most often used in architecture - on walls, doors, windows, skylights, car windshields, windows, balconies, railings, facades and roofs.
